External (Serial/RS-232) Modems
No drivers or files are required unless you are using Apple Remote Access,
Open Transport PPP, or Internet Connection (included with Mac OS X). These
programs
do require a CCL (modem script file) to properly enable the modem. Click

Note: If you have a 14.4K/V.32bis modem, you can
try either version of the Zoom ARA CCLs below.
PC Card Modems
Mac OS 9.2.1 and earlier include drivers that are compatible
with our PC Card modem. These are the "PC Card" and "PC Card
Modem" extensions. No additional drivers/extensions or files
are required unless you are using Apple Remote Access or
Open Transport PPP, which require a CCL (modem script file)
to properly enable the modem. Click here to

Zoom Universal CCLs
The Zoom Universal CCLs are modem script files that properly
enable your modem under Open Transport PPP, Apple Remote
Access, and Internet Connect (included with Mac OS X). We
do not provide custom scripts for other applications or uses.
If you require a custom script, please contact the maker
of the software you are using.

5.5 or later is needed to expand this file. If this
program
is not installed in your system, it
can be downloaded for free from Aladdin
Systems.

Firmware Zoom
V.34X Plus Upgradeable (Models 2836A, 2837A, and 2838A)
This flash will change the firmware type of your upgraded Zoom V.34X Plus Modem
from K56flex into V.90 (V2.100F), and vice versa. The change can be made only
if you have a Zoom K56flex External Rockwell based Data/Fax (non-voice) Non-DualMode
USA Modem. Please note that you can only use this flash if you have previously
upgraded your 33.6K modem to K56flex.
